HOW TO: Request a Mobile Travel Pack

Fill out and submit the Mobile Travel Pack Request form to request for a Mobile Travel Pack. If your destination is the United States (Telus users only), you do not need to fill out the form. See the below information for US roaming on Telus only:

Telus ROAM Ready (USA only)

A new feature from Telus called ROAM Ready (available for the USA only!) is enabled for all our Telus clients.

For this to work the client needs to turn roaming on (it is Off by default).

Unlimited calling - When you make or receive a call from the U.S., roaming with unlimited calling activates (inbound & outbound) for the current billing cycle for $20.00 plus tax.

Unlimited SMS - When you send an SMS from the U.S., roaming with unlimited SMS activates for the current billing cycle are included at no extra charge.

Adjustable data - Roaming data activates when you first use data from within the U.S. and scales with your usage starting at $30.00 plus tax for 500MB. If the client goes over, there will be a second charge for the same amount of money and data.

Important: If you don't wish to incur data charges it is best to turn Roaming OFF in the Cellular Data Options in Settings

This charge goes with the billing period (the 27^th of every month) this is where you need to be careful e.g. if the client is traveling to the USA on the 20th for 7 days it will work out just fine. If the client is traveling on the 25^th for 7 days, you are probably better off getting a ‘passport’ package, which is about $80, and we would have to call Telus to add the travel pack as normal procedures.
