HOW TO: Encrypt a removable drive using BitLocker

        Be sure to have USB or removeable drive connected to your computer

        In Windows Explorer, search ‘BitLocker’ and select ‘Manage BitLocker’

        When BitLocker opens, select ‘Turn on BitLocker’ beside your USB or removable disk

    Select the check box for ‘Use a password to unlock the drive’ and create a suitable password

   Save or print your password in a safe place. If you lose this, you will not be able to recover the data on the drive

    Continue through selections. Be sure to select ‘Compatible Mode’ when choosing which mode to encrypt, as this is best for removable drives

Encryption may take several minutes

    After you encrypt your entire disk, it will always ask for the password when used
