HOW TO: Stop Legitimate Emails from getting caught in Spamtrap

Please follow this article if your spamtrap is catching legitimate emails that are not considered spam.

Instructions

You can create spam trap rules that will allow emails through from a specific sender, domain, keyword, etc.

  • Login to spam trap (https://spamtrap.uwo.ca), then click on the rules tab. The, select the rule type based on your preference (sender, domain, custom, etc.), then create the rule.

Another method to allow emails through is to adjust your spam threshold. Your emails get a spam score from 1 - 100 and any email that matches or exceeds the threshold will get caught by spam trap. The higher the spam threshold, the more emails will come through, and you will also get more spam in your inbox as well. To adjust the threshold, login to spamtrap, click on the preferences tab>quarantine settings and under filter settings you will see spam threshold.
